Paragliding

Paragliding gives you a little bit of thrill and panoramic views.

Switzerland has amazing mountains and places from where you can start your paragliding experience.

You will amazed by the view of the lakes and mountains. You can do paragliding in Interlaken, Zermatt, and Lucerne.

When you are paragliding, one thing that comes to mind is safety. But in Switzerland, you’ll be 100% safe.

You will fly with an experienced pilot. So, if you are a beginner or have never experienced paragliding, you can do it as well.

My favorite place for paragliding is Interlaken.

Float Down The River

If you want to spend summer in Switzerland like a local, you need to float down the river.

This is something that people get so excited about. In all of Switzerland’s major cities, you can have this amazing river experience.

From Zurich to Geneva, all of these big cities have amazing rivers that are really designed and set up to let you just get in, hop on a floaty, float down the river, and then hop off.

It’s a unique experience that is really special about letting the river take you down. You will see that all of the Swiss local people are doing this, and you do it in a lake too.

My favorite place for float down is Zurich. Also, you can do it in the summer months.

Mountain Carting

Switzerland is a popular destination for mountain carting. Mountain carting is a very unique and different activity that you can do in the Swiss Alps.

It is open all summer and may depend on the weather. The price is around 15 to 30 Francs. Anyone above 135cm in height can do mountain carting.

You will travel down the mountain following the track, and it is safe to experience.

But always follow safe driving instructions while riding the mountain cart. Especially in high cliff areas, you need to slow down the speed.

The unique view of the Alps and the cliff slopes raises the adrenaline level to the top during the ride.

So, if you are a thrill-seeker and want to experience the Swiss mountains in a different way, you can go for mountain carting.

Toboggan

The Mountain coaster is known as the toboggan run. The toboggan run is a really fun experience that goes through the mountains.

You can do it with your younger children, and it is so amazing. Kids will absolutely love it. It is usually pretty inexpensive. The price is under 4 to 18 Francs per ride.

There are so many interesting mountain coasters in SwitzerlandThey are mostly open in summer, but some of them are also open in winter.

You can control your speed and enjoy the panoramic views. You should definitely look them up and make sure to consider it.

From kids to adults, everyone loves it. So, I recommend doing this fun activity.

If you are in Switzerland from around May to October, make sure to do a toboggan run or mountain coaster in the Alps.

Trotti Bike

Trotti bike is a really fun summer activity, and you can do it in the Alps region.

It is also known as a scooter bike or downhill bike. It is only available during summer from May to October. The price is around 10 to 75 Francs, depending on the place.

It is a fun and good alternative to cable cars. With the Trotti bike, you’ll go all the way downhill.

So, just make sure to hold the breaks. It is a fun experience that combines features of mountain biking and downhill skiing.

I recommend riding the Trotti bike to witness a different experience and an unforgettable outdoor adventure.

Skiing

Switzerland is known for its world-class skiing experience.

It offers an exceptional skiing adventure for skiers, from beginners to experts. In the winter season, from Swiss local people to travelers, everyone loves to go to ski resorts for skiing.

Some of the places to go skiing in Switzerland include:

  • Zermatt
  • St. Moritz
  • Grindelwald
  • Verbier
  • Davos-Klosters
  • Wengen
  • Andermatt

St. Motitz is the place I love to go skiing and also recommend skiing there.

So, skiing is one of the most exciting experiences that you can do in the winter season.

Mountain Hiking

Hiking is the best way to experience Switzerland. If you can’t hike up the mountains, then take a gondola or train to go up.

In this way, you can experience these mountain trains and gondolas that are really cool. Every mountain has gondolas in Switzerland. So, take a gondola to reach the mountain and then hike.

You can find some easy hikes that are only 20 to 30 minutes. You can go around and see some breathtaking views. If you are a professional hiker, do some 3 to 6 hours hike.

Summer is the best season for mountain hiking in Switzerland, but you can also hike in winter.

So, take advantage of Switzerland’s biggest asset – the mountains. Go for a hike and explore.
